Dilham
Dilham is a sleepy village around 2 miles by road from Wayford Bridge. It is just off the Yarmouth Road (A149), which connects with the larger North Walsham to the north, and Caister and Great Yarmouth, to the south. Norwich city centre is 14 miles away, a journey of around 30 minutes by car.
Things to see and do:
Dilham is about one mile up-river from Wayford Bridge. Day boats can be hired from Banks Boats, by the hour or day to explore the upper reaches of the River Ant. The journey up the North Walsham and Dilham Canal as far as Honing, is enchanting and unspoilt. Barton Broad Board Walk will take you through marshland and reedbeds, arriving at a viewing platform, with spectacular views across this beautiful Broad. How Hill Education Centre is worth a visit. It has a water trail, viewed aboard an electric launch, walking trails, secluded gardens, and Toad Hill Cottage, a period piece home of an eel catcher from bygone days.

The Cross Keys Public House is the only eating establishment in Dilham, but is well thought of, and has a good choice menu.
The Wayford Bridge Inn, just two miles away, is a family friendly establishment with a restaurant, overlooking the river.
The Crown at Smallburgh is located in the next village along from Dilham, around half a mile away. This dog friendly pub offers a varied menu, and often has evening entertainment.

Vera's Coffee Shop is housed within Meales Wayford Nurseries at Wayford Bridge, serving hot and cold food and drinks.
Other Shops:
The Gulf Fairview Garage, just before the bridge, has a convenience store attached, for milk, bread and provisions.
